Champion Challenge “Trusting OurSElves “

Hey Friend’s! As always I hope this post today finds you with Peace upon you, around you and especially within you! Today we started per usual with giving our Thanks, giving, starting the coffee, Elvis his morning love and breakfast.

We said buongiorno to everyone as they woke up and we were greeted by the sun again this morning! There was frost on the ground this morning and Elvis was not a big fan of the frost.

The way he picks up each of his paws high with each step he takes just to avoid the moisture of the frost always makes me laugh.

These days Elvis has enjoyed his wild cat life outside during the day especially if the sun is out and then on the flip side he also enjoys his pampered cozy cat life inside. He has the best of both world.

This morning I started with a stretch and I jumped on the stationary bike and rode for 45 minutes so I had no excuses for later. Then I did my work out and some meditation.

I did an hour of Italian class this morning and then I started on my work and blog related tasks. Tomorrow I plan on doing a revamp of my schedule for this week.

Sunday is my re-set day. I schedule for the week my work outs, work and blog related tasks. It is also going to be my self care day which includes scalp treatment and maybe a face mask.

Today my husband has a day off and this means lunch was off the chain delicious. After we finished lunch we took a nap and it was awesome. I woke up refreshed and ready to tackle the rest of the day.

I mean look at this plate of food it makes my mouth water even now and it has only been a few hours since lunch. I’am so blessed to have such creative and gifted people in my life.

My husband amazes me on a daily basis it is almost ridiculous how talented he is. Others in my life such as Fede she is a natural artist and writer and is constantly writing and creating things that are wonderful.

These are just to name two, this is such a blessing because they inspire me too with all their creative endeavors.

It is so beautiful when we can each be ourselves and create what we are passionate about. In doing so we inspire each other.

Affirmations for Today:

” My Intuition is here to guide me.”…” I trust I can deal with difficult situations.”

Today’s food for Thought: Building Trust in Ourselves.

Trust Yourself written by: Bob Dylan

Trust yourself

Trust yourself to do the things that only you know best

Trust yourself

Trust yourself to do what is right and not be second guessed

Don’t trust me to show you beauty when beauty may only turn to rust

If you need someone you can trust, trust yourself

Trust yourself

Trust yourself to know the way that will prove true in the end

Trust yourself

Trust yourself to find the path where there is no if and when

Don’t trust me to show you the truth

When the truth may only be ashes and dust

If you want somebody you can trust, trust yourself

Well, you are on your own, you always were

In a land of wolves and thieves

Don’t put hope in ungodly man

Or be a slave to what somebody else believes

Trust yourself

And you won’t be disappointed when vain people let you down

Trust yourself

And look not for answers where no answers can be found

Don’t trust me to show you love

When my love may be only lust

If you want somebody you can trust, trust yourself

They say that in our lives we have learned not to trust in our selves because of past mistakes and failures. Instead of learning from these mistakes we have internalized it into negative dialogue.

Thinking that we can not trust our selves to make good decisions. As we have learned in the Champion Challenge none of us are perfect walking this Earth.

We are absolutely going to make mistakes and if we are living life right, we are going to make them often. We are in the bad habit of ruminating on our past choices.

We think that if we keep replaying and over analyzing them we will avoid making them in the future. As we have learned this is not a healthy mind set to have.

We have been working on forgiving ourselves and others. We need to apply forgiving ourselves for any past mistakes here as well.

Let’s STOP beating ourselves up over our short comings and grappling with our self doubt. Of course this will take some time but each day we do it the stronger we will become.

Instead let’s look at it like this…we are fully capable of challenging and over coming any situation in life’s journey!

The fact is that what we end up doing on a regular basis has a far bigger influence on our ability to trust ourselves then anything else, even our DNA.

We have already survived and over come so much already that anything we have coming in our lives we will handle and over come.

However because we do not trust in our self we get stuck in the cycle of asking others for their advice and taking their advice even when it does not line up with we think or feel.

When we habitually we put aside our own wants and needs because of how we are afraid others will feel. In doing so we are teaching our own brains that what we feel is less important than how others feel.

Doing this causes us to be depressed and sick. Wouldn’t it be so beautiful if we began to trust and believe in ourselves each day more. Feeling the freedom and security of knowing that we can handle anything.

The truth is if we are quiet and sit with our self for a little bit each day we will soon discover that we already know what is good for us and what we should do.

Way’s to Build Trust in OurSelves

  • Express ourselves in a direct way
  • Setting healthy Boundaries and Nuturing Ourselves
  • Keep our Promises to ourselves
  • Listen to our selves and our bodies
  • Reign in our chronic worrying
  • Replace self criticism with self compassion
  • Embrace emotional vulnerability
  • Avoid perfectionism by updating our Expectations

Remember each day that we put these things into practice the closer we are getting to our desired outcome. Some days are going to be better then others but the important thing is that we keep going forward.

Let me know below what some of the ways you plan on working on trusting yourself. If we can’t even trust in ourselves then we will not be able to fully trust in others.

Thank you for joining us in today’s Champion Challenge! Please feel free to like, comment and subscribe and until next time stay safe and God Bless!

  4. Be yourself, trust yourself, love yourself 😚💖 I couldn’t agree more. Loved the Bob Dylan reference. IAM taking notes on the ways to trust ourselves 🙂 yes if someone says that they don’t trust anyone it is a sign that they struggle to trust themselves. You are my creative people that I surround myself with even if just virtually. You inspire me to get up and keep going every day. I don’t know how to tell you how much you have helped me through this year. God bless you AKA 😊🌷

    1. I can say that you are right. I am known for saying that I don’t trust people but really I am saying that I don’t trust myself enough to know if someone can be trusted 🤐
