CHampion Challenge “Let’s Clean Up”

Hey Friends! It is Monday again and I know we are all super excited about it. ( Yes, that was a joke ) As always I hope this post finds you with Peace upon you, around you and especially with in you.

This morning I first woke up a little bit before 5 am. We got a new mattress yesterday and it is like sleeping on a large supportive, firm cloud.

I can hear you saying ” AKA… clouds are not firm and supportive this makes absolutely no sense. ” And my response would be “I agree.”

However my mattress in particular feels like a cloud that is also firm and supportive. If you could lay on it you would sit up and say “My goodness it does in deed feel like a firm, supportive cloud!”

At 5 am it was still dark and very foggy. I let Elvis in gave him a small snack before breakfast, studied Italian and went back to bed after a few hours.

When I woke back up at 7:30 it was still a very foggy . It was hard to see things just a few feet away. It was like we woke up in a mysterious new world. It was the perfect morning for the beginning scene of a thriller.

We gave our Thanks, gave Elvis some love and his breakfast of champions. Started our coffee, said buongiorno to everyone and per usual we all scurried around getting ready for our day.

My husband and I gave each other a kiss and he was off to do his champion stuff and so was I. This morning I started a little bit differently. I deep cleaned anything and everything I could think of.

Closets, drawers, cabinets, shoe shelves, under everything and on top of everything. Dusted, swept, mopped, organized, cleaned windows and sterilized. It took me until noon but I got it done!

The fact is now that it is finished I feel pretty darn good about it. I feel inspired now to make another mess. Isn’t it how it always goes?

As soon as you get finished cleaning all of a sudden inspiration hits for a hundred new creative ideas that are guaranteed to make a even bigger disaster then the one you just cleaned up.

We had lunch and just look at how Yummy it is. Then I took an hour nap on our firm yet supportive cloud mattress. Afterwards I began my Italian class finishing in 2 hours for today. and then began my work out.

I did a stretch, stationary bike for 45 minutes, worked out and did my meditation. I made a two do list for tomorrow and read my book for 30 minutes.

Running down to the kitchen to get a cup of coffee and a Pink Lady apple to nibble on when I happened to see Elvis outside the glass door looking very dramatic.

Imagine if you will … it is a dark, foggy day the kind of fog that seems to mute all the colors it surrounds and with this fog the sky can’t seem to decide if it really wants to rain or not. So it just drizzles.

You come down stairs to get coffee and as you look outside through the glass doors you look down and see Elvis. His fur is wet all the way to his head and his face looks so pitiful. He has had enough.

As soon as I opened the door he began to scream at me as if he had been left alone outside for years to battle the elements.

I gave him a few treats, dried him off and he curled up in a ball and fell asleep. Poor little guy needs his rest so I tip toed out of the kitchen, coffee in hand and make my way upstairs to work.

Affirmation for today:

” I’am grateful to be the person I’am.” …” I’am in charge of my life.” …” I’am brave enough to be myself.”

Blog Under Construction

Recently I have been making some adjustments to my blog page. I am working on adding Podcasting for those of you who are like me and like to listen to podcasts on your way to work, while you are walking or while you are cleaning.

My emails are not getting to me right now but it is in the process of getting worked out. I apologize and I will respond as soon as I get it taken care of, last but not least very soon we will be monetizing our site.

Today’s Food for Thought: Let’s Clean Up!

Let’s do a deep cleaning this week. Not just of our house or surroundings but in our lives in general. Let’s de-clutter, re-prioritize and organize.

Taking a good look at everyone and everything in our life that no longer serves us. Asking ourselves does this person or thing ad to our Peace or take away from it?

Let’s give away anything that no longer fit in our lives. This includes clothing, clutter, shoes, and friends. There is an old saying ” we can’t choose our family but we can choose our friends.

Once we get our deep cleaning finished we are going to feel a sense of relief and clarity. It also allows us to have more room for the new good things that we have coming in.

We are making space for creativity, confidence, positivity, inspiration by letting go of past clutter. We are just a little bit ahead of the spring cleaning. We are early for once and for me I say that is a WIN!

According to an article in Forbes Health cleaning our area is good for us physically, mentally and emotionally. All these years our parents were right about keeping our rooms clean.

Danielle Roeske says ” Our outer worlds invariable effect our inner worlds.” Essentially when our minds get over whelmed our living spaces can also end up cluttered. Messy space = Stress.

When we clean up our space we give our selves a sense of order and control. When there is order and structure in our outer environment it can help us feel more safe and able to handle some of our internal feelings.

A clean space also helps us with improved focus, regulated emotions and a over all feeling of a much more calming energy.

Let me know your thought’s on the addition of the Podcast and how you feel after you clean you’r space. Did you feel a sense of accomplishment or did you feel inspired to make a bigger mess like me?

Thank you for joining us in today’s Champion Challenge! Please feel free to like comment and subscribe and until next time stay blessed!

    1. This was one of my favorite parts of her article in particular the bit about the mattress, the weather and her quirky sense of humor. She reminds me of my late grand daughter Mona.

  5. The problem is that she is working and solely taking care of the home while you work outside of the home and probably come back home and sit on your lazy ass. I know your type ☺️
