Champion Challenge ” The World Needs Champions !”

Hey Friends! May Peace be upon you, around you and especially within you! The past week the nights have gotten longer, the leaves continue to change color and fall much to the enjoyment of Elvis. The days have been full of dense misty fog but it has been peaceful in general.

Today per usual started with giving Thanks, lighting a candle for my husband who is off handling his Champion stuff, giving Elvis his first round of breakfast, making some ginger, lemon, honey tea, eating a yogurt and saying buongiorno to everyone as they wake up.

I ran some errands this morning mailed off a painting, went to the market and all that jazz. Came home and started my stretching, Pilates, meditation and did a deep cleaning before getting ready for the day.

Began my work and blog related tasks, my sketch challenge, made my phone calls and answered some emails. I am loving the Pilates honestly, Yes they are not easy but for some reason I kind of like the pain of doing them more then other work outs. Let me know if you guys are doing the Pilates and if you like them as well.

I would like to give much love and appreciation to all of you beautiful brave souls who leave comments with you’r stories. I see you guys! AKA’s Angels… I love the name and appreciate you guys so very much! I do read all the comments and emails and am touched by the support and love.

To those who are leaving comments that are not on topic and related to other less desirable things… keep it classy or please don’t comment. This is a safe space for everyone and nonsense will not be tolerated. Thanks

Today’s food for thought is how can we can handle the battles in life we didn’t cause? Let’s take a second and be honest with ourselves and each other.

Our world is in a state of catastrophe we all know this. We have a constant influx of national tragedies and global disasters pouring over into our lives via news. Threats of nuclear wars, starvation, people having to live without heat this winter, a mass number of seemingly healthy people are just dropping dead and the list goes on…

Just thinking about one of these issues alone can be overwhelming and thinking about all of them together at once can be paralyzing. We don’t know which end is up or down anymore. These issues are all far too big for any single person to solve no matter how much we would all like to so we say stuff like ” it is what it is ” and try to be ok.

For starters let’s allow ourselves to take a moment to feel discouraged about the world because the fact is it’s all very discouraging. Lot’s of really awful, horrible, nonsensical nonsense is happening around us all no matter what corner of our world we live in.

We allow ourselves to feel the sadness, the hopelessness, the anger and disillusioned by the people who are in power in this moment because it’s a normal reaction to these kinds of events. I mean we are humans at the end of the day and we have emotions that need to be felt. Big hugs from me to you.

People will tell us to ” just stay positive..”or ” ignore the horrible things we see on the news…” The truth is that ignoring these horrible things won’t make them go away any more then getting depressed about them will. We have to look at the bigger picture here and take the time to make sure we ourselves are ok so we might be able to help someone else.

The desire we feel to somehow help to make this f*cked up world a better place is a beautiful thing. If we notice whats going on in the world and feel a sense of responsibility to make it better, it says something amazing about who we are.

At the end of the day however we are all still just one individual and our ability to help in any way towards making a positive change depends greatly on our mental health. If we are so discouraged, feeling so hopeless and sad that we can barely get out of bed it is going to be super hard to make any impact.

Some things that have helped me are making space for gratitude. Yes I know that seems really stupid to some considering but we don’t have to ignore the bad things that are happening to see the good things as well. YES the worlds is kinds sucking right now but it has some beauty in it still. Everything is not lost.

We can acknowledge our negative emotions without dwelling on them. These negative emotions are what help us know that change is needed they are here to guide and help protect us. They are meant to motivate us to make the needed changes. When we fixate on them is when we start to have problems.

Balancing being informed with setting limits on our news and social media intake. We should absolutely be informed and spending a few hours every few days is a great way to do this.. Looking at the news and staying on our social media for hours a day is a great way to be depressed.

There is a saying that there is no one as lonely as the person watching the world burn while no one else see’s it. Find others who see it as well, it is helpful to find like minded people so we can the work together in whatever way we can to help.

Our world is not perfect, never has been and never will be. However we were born here and now and perhaps some of us are meant to be the strong ones who help carry the weight of others in their time of suffering or perhaps some of us where meant to help feed the minds of the hungry souls.

What I do know for certain is we can’t do it alone. We need each other and together we can make an impact.

Thanks for joining us in our Champion Challenge! Please feel free to like comment and subscribe and until next time, Much Love my friends!

  1. girl I have been saying this exact thing! I love you so much… have a beautiful blessed day. And I will keep you in my prayers as I will all of you. This world truly is falling apart but so long as we are all standing together, there is hope! We can get through what is coming our way and we are a strong race of beings created in the expressed image of God to do good works! Let go out and be a blessing to as many people as we can in whatever way we can!

    1. Yes exactly. I wish more people could read AKA’S post’s because she is one of the bright minds our generation needs. I know she is suffering because of all the evils and devil’s if this world we live in. We can see it in her posts that it hurts her as it does all of us. But she is brave enough to speak in it and she is trying to bring humanity together. If you go back to her first post’s they are titled Hope in Humanity and many others. From the beginning she has tried to unify those of us who read her post’s. If she had a you tube channel they would cancel her for speaking the truth but we here and now are listening 🎧.

      1. I couldn’t agree more. Sometimes when she writes you can feel her sadness and other days you can feel her frustration. No matter what she shows up for herself and us and that means the world to me 👑🏆
